This was my first time doing a Presentation about Who do our faces go red in front of the class room. My buddy was a friend of mine. Her name was Isabella. I like her work about her learning. Why don't you check it out? I'm sure you would like it. I would say it went quite bad because I didn't understand my topic or what I was saying. I think it was pretty good for my first time but I need to do better!



 This was my second time doing a Presentation about Why do we have unique fingerprints? I did quite well on this one. Thanks to my buddy Maasoama. She helped me to stay focus and remember key words about our topic! Why don't you look at Maasoama's work about her learning.


This is a Presentation I did with my friend named Mayleen. Our topic was about How do your nails grow. It was a shocker for me. I thought it was going to go not how I expected! Rebecca's adventure to New Zealand Chapter 1

At school I do reading maths and Writing. My favourite subject out of those 3 subjects is reading. Reading is my favourite subject because it takes me into lots of different adventures! It makes me think and imagine! It also makes me calm when I'm a bit confused or frustrated with my homework. The rest of my friends favourite subject is Writing. I don’t really like writing because it hurts my hands.

My friends are really noisy. Me Colette and  Michelle always like to do make up parties. My 2 step sisters always come and ruin it so we go to tell my step dad, he tells my 2 step sisters to go to there rooms and stay there. He always makes me happy and laugh.

Country:  My country is really dirty. It’s sometimes wet and raining. I like to jump into the puddles after it rains. My country also has desserts and pyramids and many more weird kinds of things. Most of the times it’s FREEZING COLD! That’s why my parents suggested to come to New Zealand! I'm really excited and nervous.  I hope I don’t mess up anything at school! I go to church as well and I'm really excited and nervous at the same time again! It’s like new things to try out ! Well it is new things to try out. I really hope they like me! I hope they don’t tease me, bully me and many more worst things that I could imagine that might happen to me!

I have 4 brothers which are really annoying! Well 1 of them are really kind to me. I have 2 step sisters as well. Luckily I have 1 little sister of my own. She’s really nice to me. 1 of my step sisters are really mean to my family! And then my other step sister is kind to me and my family. Our family has a kitten! But it’s mostly mine because my mum bought it for me on my birthday. Her name is Emma. My brothers have a dog and his name is Michel. My mum bought it for them on Christmas. We always separate Emma and Michel. Emma mostly stays in my room because that’s where her bed is and her leash is and mostly other things she needs. Michel stays at the backyard. He has a big home because the boys wanted it to be really big and cool. I never thought they would achieve their goal because everyday they just play video games never go outside and never learn anything! The only times they would do things or achieve things is when their friends come over to play with Michael.

O.M.G! I can see the clouds! Right now is a good time to sleep so I can dream of a really really REALLY fun adventure. “Be quiet Genevieve! I'm trying to get my beauty sleep! Awwww. Now what?” Huh? “Jason? What are you doing? Stop making Genevieve cry! MUUUUUUUM! Jason’s making Genevieve cry! Finally I can get some time alone and get my beauty sleep. “Sigh” Ugh. I don’t feel comfortable! Never mind about sleeping. I’ll just imagine... O.M.G. Who’s crying now? Jason! Just because you’re older than all of us kids doesn't mean you can bully us! We are your brothers and sisters! Now will you stop making any one of us cry? “Fine” Finally! Wait, what’s that noise?  I don’t think it’s...  It is. JASON! 5 Hours later...  “We’re finally here! Woah! It’s really pretty! Skylar Michelle come over here and look at this!” “Coming What is it...  Wow. It’s so beautiful!” “ IKR!”

“Mum where are we going?” “ We are going to our house. Oh here comes the taxi.” “What?” 3 Hours later. “ Come on girls. The boys got picked up by cousin Joe. They might be inside the house already or maybe they’re still coming. Let’s go inside and unpack.” As I stepped out of the taxi my eyes were glittering with tears  because of the beauty of our house! I can’t believe it! 10 Minutes later. Well the boys said that they were stuck in traffic but they’re on they’re way now. At least we got all of our stuff unpacked. “Mum can me Skylar and Michelle go outside for a walk?” “ How about we go get some food and then we can all go for a walk. How does that sound?” “ Fine by me. Mich, Sky, wanna go get some food and then go for a walk?” “Sure but when we go get some food then can we go under a tree and have a little picnic?” “Sure if it’s okay with my mum. Are we allowed mum?” “Of course. Well then get ready girls, We are going to leave in 5 minutes. I’ll get a blanket and some money. Now off you go girls.” “Thanks mum! come let’s go to our rooms and get changed. We’ll be back.” 5 minutes later. “Girls you ready?” “ Yeah mum. Were coming.” “Okay. Now that we're all ready, let’s go.” “Mmm what’s that smell? Huh? Ohh! Mum can we have burger king?” “Sure.” “Yay Burger King!” “Let’s go and find a tree so we can have a picnic. Guys look at that beautiful butterfly!” “Wow” 30 Minutes later. “Girls It’s time to go back home. It’s getting dark” “Okay mom” “Let’s visit the neighbour before we get inside.”“Okay” Knock knock knock. “Hi. My name is Alisi and you are?” “I'm Melissa. I'm new here. The school I'm going to tomorrow is May Road School.” “Me too! Maybe we can be friends?” “Sure!” “Okay girls now that we all have met each other we better get going now. See you tomorrow! Night.” Come on let’s go inside. 1 Hour later. Girls and boys. Time to go to sleep.” “What now? It’s too early. The times only ohhh. Night mum!” “Stop. What’s the time?” “Sigh. 9:00.” “And what time should you be sleeping?” “9:00.” “That’s right now goodnight everyone.” “NIGHT.” “I can’t wait to go to school tomorrow!”.

Trip to the Visy recycling centre.

This is my work about the Visy trip we went on with 10 people in room 14. I did my work with Thomas we were buddies. This is what we learnt, we did this because we want to keep our environment safe. Mrs Haydon just got back from her trip to lot's of different countries. She visited India. She saw lot's of RUBBISH everywhere. Would you like New Zealand to be like that? For maths, we were trying to figure out which box was the smallest and which box was the biggest. The boxes were letters. The letters went up to The order of the boxes went like this C, D, G, A, F, H, I, E, B. I got my prediction wrong. My prediction was C, D, G, A, F, I, E, H, B. Next time I should guess a good estimate or a good answer.

People say that I was nasty and mean in the story Jack & the beanstalk but I wasn't. Here is the real story of what happened.

While I was sleeping, my wife was making breakfast for me. She heard a knock on the door and she went to open it, she saw a little small tiny boy standing right in front of her. He said if he could have some breakfast and my wife of course dear with a kind beautiful voice. My wife gave him bread, cheese and a jug of milk. When I woke up, I went to the kitchen. My wife said to the little boy “ Quickly, hide in the oven, my husband eats humans!” and the little boy hid in the oven. When I sat down in my comfortable chair, I said” Fee Fi Fo Fum I smell a blood of an Englishman” My wife said “ It is the twelve chopped fries I fried for you’re breakfast” 

I felt something in my tummy and I knew something was going on but I ignored it. So I ate my breakfast, I got out my money bag and started counting my money. After a while, I started to fall asleep. When I started to snore, that pesky little boy came and stole my money bag. I can’t believe it. The next morning, My wife was frying me twenty sausages for my breakfast until she heard a knock on the door. She went to open the door and she said” Are you the little boy who stole my husband’s money bag? Were you wearing flashy clothes like me? No” The little boy asked if he could have some breakfast and she said “OK come inside” And they went inside quietly. She gave the little boy bread, cheese and a jug of milk. When I came in, the boy hid inside the oven. When I sat inside my chair, I said” Fee Fi Fo Fum, I smell a blood of an Englishman.  My wife said that it was the twenty sausages she fried for my breakfast. When I ate my breakfast I got out my magic hen. When I said lay, it would lay a golden egg. As the time time went past, I started to fall asleep. So like before, the little boy tip toed out of the oven and stole my magic hen. How dare he take my magic hen! Back to the story. The next day, my wife was doing our laundry. Then the little pesky boy went into my house without permission! Anyway, When I was eating my breakfast, I got out my magic harp. Whenever I said sing, the magic harp would play a beautiful song. After I ate my breakfast, I said sing and the harp played a beautiful song. 

Soon, I started to fall asleep. Like before, the little pesky boy came and stole my magic harp! But luckily, the harp sang to me and said” Master master, please help me!” And as soon as I heard my magic harp call me for help. I got up and raced out of my castle and I climbed down the beanstalk. When I was nearly down the beanstalk, the little boy cut the beanstalk down and I fell down! And that is the real story!

Retelling Sleeping Beauty.

This is my retelling story of Sleeping Beauty. I hope you like it.

Sleeping Beauty.

Once upon a time, there was a king and queen that lived in a beautiful castle. They had a beautiful baby. The king, was so happy and pleased that he held a feast to celebrate the new princess. He invited his uncles his religions and he invited all the fairies except for the thirteenth fairy because she was nasty, evil and mean. After they ate, the fairies came to wish the new born baby. When it came to the twelfth fairy, the thirteenth fairy popped into the room, she said” Why did you not invite me! I am a fairy!” The king said” I didn't invite you because you are the bad fairy” “ then I wish that on sleeping beauty's fifteenth birthday she will prick her finger on a spindle and die!” Then the thirteenth fairy disappeared. 

The king and queen begged the twelfth fairy to break the spell but she said” I can’t break the spell but I can soften it” On her fifteenth birthday she will prick her finger on a spindle but she will not die, she will fall asleep for one hundred years”. The king sent all his servants to get rid of all the spindles in the land. So on Sleeping beauty’s fifteenth birthday, the king and queen went off to get a present for Sleeping beauty. Sleeping beauty said” it’s time to explore the castle” so off Sleeping beauty went. She found a room that she had never seen. She opened the door and went inside. She saw a old women spinning a spindle. She said” what are you doing” the old woman said” I'm spinning” Sleeping beauty said “ can I have a try?” the old woman said” of course you can my princess” so Sleeping beauty helped herself. She was really enjoying spinning the spindle until she pricked her finger. Sleeping beauty fall asleep on a comfortable bed. The old lady was waiting for this day. In all of a sudden the old lady vanished. When the king and queen got back, they started to fall asleep on the red carpet in the ballroom. Some prickly thorns started to crawl over the castle. 

Once many princes heard about the story about Sleeping beauty. They started to work their way through the prickly thorns but the thorns was just too sharp and many princes died. When one prince heard about Sleeping beauty’s story, he fell in love. So he went to where the prickly thorns were and he cut the thorns. When he was nearly out of the thorns, he saw lot’s of skeletons! So he said rest in peace. He cut his way out of the prickly thorns and he made it out of the prickly thorns! When he went into the ballroom, he saw the king and queen lying on the red carpet. When he found the hidden room, he went inside. He found Sleeping beauty sleeping on the soft bed. When he finally got to see her, he fell in love and he kissed her. When he kissed her, she woke up and he knew that he had broken the spell. Everyone in the castle woke up from their sleep and they lived happily ever after.

E.O.T.C Week At The Pools

The week before the holidays was E.O.T.C week. E.O.T.C stands for education outside the classroom. Room 10,13,14 and 15 had lot's of fun!On Monday we went to the Mt Albert aquatic wave pools.
